Painting Started. Flows and shapes determined with pencil on canvas, deciding color scheme.August 25th
Colors figured out, starting to fill in areas.
August 28th
Most areas filled in.
August 30th
Everything filled on on first layer.
September 5th
Multiple layers of color, especially on the water, give more rich and deeper tones.
September 16th
Alternate layers of gloss medium (lower layers tinted) and small white lines give flow, depth, and shimmer to the water, between 10 and 12 layers.
October 6th
2 weeks of carving the outer land areas and one week of final assembly and adjustments, and Islands and Tides is complete!
